No FM, not even big guns like WEZF and WVPS from Mansfield, covers both the Upper Valley and Burlington with a usable signal. 104.3 is hemmed in enough by other co- and adjacent-signal stations that it can’t go to a full class C or even a C1 from any location. So it was one market or the other, and with the existing owners in the Upper Valley already at ownership caps, it made more sense to become another signal in the Burlington market than an orphan in the Upper Valley.

Why didn’t 104.3 when it was in Hartford, VT as WWOD just try to improve their existing signal by moving to Lincoln Peak with WDEV for example? Wouldn’t that location have given them the ability to cover the old signal coverage area in the Connecticut River valley along with covering their new coverage area in and around Lake Champlain?

Yes, 104.3 is on from the new site. No, it’s not a barn-burner of a signal over Burlington, where the dial is already ridiculously crowded for a small city. And no, it’s not going to move WEZF one inch. An elephant generally doesn’t respond much to a flea.

Is WECM-104.3 transmitting from their new site yet??

If they are, their signal covers the Burlington/Plattsburgh market pretty well, and their move might even force WEZF-92.9 to “take the plunge” sooner than the November 21st date promoted on their website.

Also, Music Choice’s “Sounds Of The Seasons” channel went al-Christmas on November 1st; if prior years are any indication, it will likely remain all-Christmas through early January.,

I was going to add that WMIM has now flipped to all-Christmas but I see it’s already been noted. Why they didn’t just go 24/7 starting last Friday but decided to switch in the middle of this week is strange, but oh well.

Dayton’s Mix 107.7 FM is the first time playing all Christmas 24/7.. 94.5 FM use to be LITE FM and is now Country, so MIX 107.7 took it over 🙂
